Full Terms for Garage Door Repair

GARAGE DOOR REPAIR WARRANTY

  1. Warranty Coverage

Motion Garage Doors provides a 3-year limited warranty on parts and labor related to the specific repairs or replacements performed at the time of service.

This warranty applies only to the components serviced or replaced during the repair. It does not guarantee the overall operational condition of the entire garage door system, which depends on the condition of other components that may not have been serviced during this visit.

  1. Important Conditions of Warranty

Because a garage door system is a connected mechanism, the failure of one component can directly affect others. For this reason:

  • If the customer declines any service or replacement recommended by the technician as essential for the safe and proper operation of the door, the warranty may be voided.
  • Motion Garage Doors is not responsible for failures, damage, or malfunctions resulting from the refusal of necessary repairs or recommendations at the time of service.
  1. What is Covered:
  • Parts and Labor: Any parts replaced and labor performed during the repair are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for 3 years from the date of service.
  • Correct Installation: All parts installed are warranted to be installed correctly and function as intended, within the limits of the door’s existing system condition.
  1. What is Not Covered:
  2. The operational functionality of the entire garage door if unrelated components are not serviced.
    b. Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents, or improper use.
    c. Failure to perform regular maintenance, including lubrication of moving parts.
    d. Any issue arising from declining recommended repairs at the time of service.
    e. Environmental factors such as corrosion from salt, chemicals, fire, water, or weather-related damage.
    f. Any pre-existing damage not addressed during the repair.
    g. Garage door openers, electronics, sensors, remotes, or other devices not serviced during the repair (covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, if applicable).
    h. Damage caused by obstruction in the tracks, accidental impacts, or items interfering with the door’s movement.
    i. Any subsequent modifications, adjustments, or work performed by another company or individual.
  3. Customer Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular lubrication of moving parts (rollers, hinges, springs, and bearings) at least twice a year.
  • Keep the garage door area free of obstacles (tools, debris, snow, or ice) that may interfere with the door operation.
  • Operate the garage door in a responsible and safe manner. Misuse, such as forcing the door, hanging objects on it, or interfering with its components, can cause damage.
  • Schedule a professional inspection and maintenance service at least once a year, preferably by Motion Garage Doors, to ensure the smooth and safe operation of the door system.
  • Promptly report any issues or irregularities to prevent further damage.
  1. Limitation of Liability:

Garage doors are mechanical systems with moving parts, and like any mechanical equipment, require ongoing maintenance and responsible usage. This warranty does not guarantee against damages that occur due to lack of maintenance, user error, environmental factors, or interconnected component failure not related to the serviced parts.

Motion Garage Doors shall not be held liable for any damages, injuries, or property loss resulting from the failure of the garage door system, misuse, neglect, or accidents. The customer acknowledges that proper use and regular maintenance are essential for the longevity and safe operation of the door.
